Another major casualty; it looks like Flybe will enter administration once all planes are grounded.

The poor staff, it’s never ending

It is awful for the staff. Also for people like me for whom Flybe provided an opportunity to work in a different area of the uk than we live.

It is such an asset for Exeter; the connections to the rest of the country that they provided were so useful - I could do Jersey or Manchester as day trips for work and easily visit family in Edinburgh. It's such a shame to lose it.

Tinselette1940 · 04/03/2020 21:49

Yes, it's awful. We've just caught the news. Dh was due to fly with them for work tomorrow.

Tr1skel1on · 04/03/2020 21:53

Awful. Where I live it is literally a lifeline service. We rely on flights for some hospital appointments :(

Runwayqueen · 04/03/2020 22:01

I don't work for Flybe, but do work at one of the regional airports they operated from. I'm absolutely heartbroken for the Flybe family but selfishly fearful for my job and my colleagues.

I'm in Southampton where it will have a major impact too. Such a shame. 😢

So much for levelling the playing field....how are regions supposed to develop economically without proper transport infrastructure and investment?

PhilCornwall1 · 05/03/2020 15:00

The writing has been on the wall with them for a long time to be honest. I used them a lot for work travel to London and Scotland, I'm surprised they haven't gone before.
