Changing career - fundraising to...?

I've worked in fundraising for almost 15 years, and I'm so bored and disillusioned by it, but at a loss as to what else I could move into. Has anyone made a move from fundraising into something else and can inspire me with some ideas? I'm so desperate to make a change!

A bit more info - I started out in direct marketing and now work in community fundraising. I'm quite good at using data and working with numbers and good at project management, although not sure I'd want to solely be a PM.

Any ideas welcome!

I’m a fundraiser too. I’ve worked in pretty much all areas and now manage a team.

I would say your transferable skills are communications, data management, people organisation and recruitment, writing, customer service to name a few.

It’s probably worthwhile making a list of things you like doing and cross referencing things you are good at.

Ooh watching with interest.

What is it about fundraising that makes you want to leave? Is it the organisation you work for? Could you move out of community, with data skills, individual giving and direct mail could also work for you. Forgive me bet you already know this.

HR, PA? Council or gov jobs civil servant? Political campaigning? Project management?

Thanks both.

I think it's a mixture of sheer boredom and feeling disillusioned with the sector. Probably my organisation as well. I've worked in direct marketing before and know I definitely don't want to go back to that.

I'm just struggling to know what sectors my skills might be transferable to. It feels like once you're in a sector it's incredibly difficult to move out of it, even if you have transferable skills, unless you go right back to the beginning!

Well you may have to take a step sideways, but a lot will depend on how you sell yourself in applications.

When was the last time you moved job? Perhaps a workplace shift might help you to gain perspective?
