Is it worth buying a Fitbit?

My DC has asked for a Fitbit Versa for their birthday. Although an Apple Watch would be their first choice, they agree that the Fitbit Versa would be a more realistic (aka cheaper) option. But are they any good?

I didn’t get on with my (very basic) Fitbit and only used it for a couple of months. Maybe we went too basic; it’s basically a rubber band with five little lights. I like my Apple Watch, and how it links to my iPhone, but generally only use it when going away - I’d use it more if I didn’t have a watch that I really love.

Sorry, this probably isn’t what you want to hear!

My 10 year old DS got a Versa for his birthday.

He loves it and wears it every day. How much actual use he gets out of it is debatable but it hasn’t been cast to one side.

I love my fitbit! It's a different model - inspire hr - and it does lots of cool things. I started off with the very basic old style Flex and this model does so much more. Think I paid about £80 for it.

Thanks. Lots of info to digest. The Fitbit Versa 2 has Alexa whereas I think the Versa doesn’t but I’m not sure how useful Alexa would be for the extra £60. I would love to get DC an Apple Watch but they’re so expensive.

They hadn’t released the versa 2 when we bought DS his. I’m not sure we would’ve gone for it anyway.

If it helps you can get 0% finance for 12 months if you buy direct from Apple.
