If you had a full week to yourself what would you do. No kids, no dh, just me on my lonesome.
Looking forward to doing my own stuff, but what would be your ideal?

Cycling, boxsetting in the evening (especially stuff with exploding heads), going to our local city on the bus to look for interesting things like food, architecture, views, bookshops etc.

Kalim8 · 02/03/2020 16:11

If money was no object, I'd probably go on a mini break.
Otherwise I'd plan on doing yoga/running/swimming/reading/little art project/try out cafes/browse charity shops/read/see what's on locally comedy /theatre wise, visit local ish attractions

Sounds grand in my head but I'd probably just spend too long on MN.

Londonmummy66 · 02/03/2020 16:17

Go on my favourite bootcamp - up in the wilds of Northumbria - heaven....

MulticolourMophead · 02/03/2020 16:22

I would take myself off and travel around the uk to visit places my DC are not interested in.

Although I'd spend a day getting all the housework done first so it's nice when I got back.

Moreisnnogedag · 02/03/2020 16:23

Do you have a house project that you need to do? Do you have to go to work?

Personally I’d spend a solid week deep cleaning the house. How sad is that?!

Devlesko · 03/03/2020 11:20

I didn't think there would be many responses.
I've done the house yesterday and today going to see friends.
Lucky as no little kids to mess it up.

Some great responses, but must do as the pp suggested, not spend too much time on here, it is addictive.

Stay up late (two in the morning)

eat weird combinations for dinner

wear my dressing gown in bed

CuteOrangeElephant · 03/03/2020 11:29

I would finally have time to get all my sewing stuff out. And I could leave it all over the place for a week!! Bliss.

WarmSausageTea · 03/03/2020 11:34

In the past, when I’ve had a few days to myself, I’ve had one day of not speaking, and found it strangely refreshing.

Lynda07 · 03/03/2020 11:36

Sleeping, eating, pottering, reading, watching TV and relishing every minute.

bigchris · 03/03/2020 11:37

I'd travel round the UK visiting uni friends and old-school friends I haven't seen for ages
Drinking wine and eating posh lunches

bigchris · 03/03/2020 11:38

I wouldn't stay with anyone though, I'd stay in hotels and enjoy the evenings by myself

2020runner · 03/03/2020 11:45

I'd gut the house, a room a day in the morning and the in the afternoon I'd go for a hike or into town for a cuppa and browse. Evenings I'd spend time cooking and watch some box sets

WellTidy · 03/03/2020 11:45

If it were me, I'd de-clutter the whole house. But that is because mine is in desperate need of a large scale sort out, and yours may not be! And I know I would feel so much better at the end of it.

2020runner · 03/03/2020 11:45

Enjoy it op

Bunnylady54 · 03/03/2020 11:51

Oh what bliss that would be! I would go for lovely long walks on the beach/ cliff paths & explore areas of Cornwall I have never visited. Clothes shopping. Bimbling round charity shops. Lunch at my favourite pub with a huge glass of wine. Go to the cinema or theatre on my own. Sort out the back garden & start to do up the summerhouse for DD. Catch up with friends as I never get to see them. Book a facial ( Christmas present from my folks which I haven’t got round to sorting). A spa day if finances permit. Play my piano lots more. Read books. I might clean but it would be very low down on the list!
