Eiffel tower with wheelchair user

Posting here for traffic :)

Does anyone have any experience of going up the eiffel tower with a wheelchair user? Struggling to find the info I need. DD is a wheelchair user.

Does anyone know if there is a separate accessible lift for disabled visitors only or do you use the same lift as everyone else? DD will not cope with long waits.

If it's the same que as everyone else can they fast track disabled visitors to the front of the que?

Many thanks

It's been a long time - 10 years + - but IIRC there is a separate entrance for disabled visitors. There are two (cheaper) ticket prices for disabled visitors and you can choose to go up to 2nd floor or the top floor by lift.

I found this.

www.toureiffel.paris/en/disabled

And I'm mainly bumping as it's been so long since I visited. But I do believe there is the one lift.

They do say that the top isn't for those with mobility issues.

I'm happy to be corrected.

No experience with a wheelchair user, but if you pre-buy your tickets you don't have to wait long.

Actually found it www.toureiffel.paris/en/disabled

Top floor not wheelchair accessible.

Thanks you for all the help/info. I had read that the top isn't wheelchair accessible, that's fine as long as we go up it a floor or two her siblings will be happy.

My biggest concern is having to wait for a lift to be available if there is no disabled only lift as DD just won't cope :/ and I can't see if there is an accesible only lift/fast track system.

Considered slinging her up the steps in the ergo and slinging her round Paris for the day but shes 4 now and I don't think my back could take it anymore!

I hope you and your children have a lovely trip up the tower.

If I might add for anyone interested, the London Eye is very special needs friendly and the carer goes free. Very helpful staff, special queue and the whole thing comes to a stop when they are loading the special pod, so those who are slow walkers or have various bits of equipment are not hurried; same when you alight.

Thank you @westfacing - we've had a stressful few years and are all really looking forward to this trip so much (particularly my 8 and 6 year olds!).

Hope you have a wonderful time

I went up it in my wheelchair a few years ago. Security took me to the front of the queue for tickets then to the front of the queue for the lift so no waiting.
