Most reliable weather forecast?

I'm going away for the weekend and am looking at the forecast for Saturday 9am so I can do a bit of parkrun tourism.

Met Office forecast says 50% chance of light rain (don't mind running in this)
BBC forecast says 80% chance of hail (hmm...maybe I won't then!)

Does anyone know which tends to be more reliable? Or have suggestions of another reliable forecast please?

Thanks!

The most reliable forecast is often considered to be the one where you stick your head out of the window on the morning!!

On the other hand, I have found the website AccuWeather to be good in the past but I don't think any of them accurately forecast rain or no rain in a specific area at a specific time. My OH swears by the WeatherPro app on his phone - that's powered by Meteo who (if I remember correctly) have bigger and more powerful computers than the Met Office.

Thanks Blobby - I'll give them a go, but daresay I'll end up sticking my head out of the window on the day Grin

XCWeather, it's the only one I use.

The BBC forecasts are generally pretty good, and we have had several days warning of the recent storms. They have struggled with snow, however. Two weeks ago it snowed quite heavily here, which wasn’t forecast at all and this morning it didn’t snow when yesterday they forecasting significant amounts. Annoying!

I find the BBC app very pessimistic on rain forecast. It often forecasts rain then none appears.

Sometimes, despite all the millions of pounds of supercomputers involved, it really is best to look at the sky when you are thinking of going out.

I've started to use Dark Sky after a recommendation on here, and find that it is more realistic.
