Center Parcs question...help please

Is it worth going to Center Parcs with a 4.5 year old & 19month old. Partner is desperate to go for a few days first week of Easter holidays. I’ve never been, always wanted to & lots of people have said it’s brilliant but should we wait until the children are a little older? I’m thinking maybe we should...

Yeah it’ll be great. We go every year, have done since DD2 was a couple of months old. We now have three, aged 6, 4 and 1.
I remember going when DD1 was 3 and DD2 was 15 months and it was fab. Loads of swimming, playing in the play areas and a couple of activities (paint a pot etc).

I've never been but it's very popular with families. However, unless you or your DP are tied to school holidays, you probably want to use what is probably your last opportunity for a term time holiday and go just after Easter when prices will be considerably lower. CP in the school holidays is ££££s.

Yes, the pool especially is great for kids and adults. Its expensive during school holidays though so I probably wouldnt go at that time. The chalets are nice but i wouldn't pay more than 600 for one.

Unfortunately we are tied to school holidays as I work in a school so only have holidays off, otherwise I would of taken DD out of school for a few days Blush

I think it’s good for 19 months- lots of swimming, and depending on which one you go to, they have play areas, toddler sensory, singing classes, messy play, painting etc. Also a nice place for them to just run around and burn off energy!

Careful where your lodge is, you can pay more to get one more centrally as some are very long walks from the facilities which is ok if your kids are old enough to ride a bike in but less convenient with little ones.

Perfect abes for centre Parcs, which one were you thinking of. People can give you more advice depending on which one you're heading to!

Thanks everyone...it’s looking positive! We would be going to the Elveden one.

Perfect ages to take them and Elveden is our favourite. You can always hire a bike plus trailer if you’re worried about walking. We never took the buggy when the DC were young as we had the trailer. Have fun!

I love Elveden, probably my favourite. Sherwood is big and Longleat is so big and hilly 😂

I don't like riding a bike but Elveden is perfect for walking or cycling.

If you want to eat out, make your bookings ASAP once you've booked your stay, restaurants get booked up quickly in the holidays.

When we go, we tend to make the most of the first day. You can't get in your lodge until 2 or 3pm but you can use the park. We get there for 11 ish, pack a swim bag and have it to hand. Go for a swim and some lunch (we take a picnic and head back to the car to eat it) and join the queue at the gate for the lodge. Then Dd is usually tired so we can put a dvd or iPad on for her while we unload the car and get sorted.

I love centre parcs, gutted we aren't going this year.

It's great fun but bloody expensive.

Definitely, they will also be young enough for the creche should you want a few hours to yourselves.
If you go to Woburn I highly recommend the spa. The kids pool is also fabulous there. Your 4 year old will love it.
