Before I start this I just want to say I will not be moving out of my cheap for London flat. Thats not going to happen and, yes, Im too old to be renting but thems the breaks.

She is a flatmate not on the contract so classed as my lodger I guess. Its three bedrooms. The smoking of skunk outside has increased ten fold in the past three months. In all other ways shes sweet although we have little in common. At first it was rolled cigarettes outside and she was using an old ash tray. Then it was the odd joint and I pulled her up saying the smell was clinging to her and she was walking it through the flat.down the back of our flats there are all sorts of randoms smoking in cars etc. I dont ever go down there except to see to my plants/stray cats. Anyway she kept blaming them saying it was their smoke I could smell and sometimes if she was at work it was.

The past few weeks its got out of control shes now smoking something thats rancid that is clinging to her and Ive told her, my elderly neighbours have told her, the guy with the garage downstairs is so annoyed as shes sitting outside on the fire exit and throwing her tabs over onto his roof which he has to sweep everyday.

She has a bf from afew days ago and now he is at it as well. Ive just written to the council reporting it. The police have already told my neighbour they wouldnt come out for it.

Her rents just gone in for the month. Should I contact the landlord or just write her a handwritten letter. I have a good landlord but i try not to bother her as ive been here so long she lets me deal with everything.

This is only going to get worse when the good weather comes.

I dont know why Im typing this. Just venting I guess.

It'll shit them both up either way - worst case he's not a dealer and they both get a warning about using illegal drugs.

OP it’s either you or the landlord that can tel her to go, so no point speaking to any one else. Just get her out?!

Shes volunteered herself to go. She said i drink a bottle of wine over 7 days so Im as bad🤔 and flattly denied smoking in her room. I dont see how that smell that woke both me and my flatmate up could be due to it being smoked outside. Shes leaving the broken bed that she insisted on moving in. I hate it the slats dont fit properly its one of those ottoman beds cheap as chips. She got rid of the old bed that was there.

Her smoking has spiralled out of control the change since she moved in is unbelievable really.

Shes going end of the month.

Happy days - good work OP!

Please also teach me how to make a bottle of wine last 7 days Grin

good riddance. And as your lodger you could throw her out tomorrow.

BTW alcohol is legal and does not support knife crime, cuckooing, county lines and gang violence. Your filthy skank of a flatmate supports all of those things.

it is a pity that the stuff isn't more lethal as that would solve the problem.

I just hope the bloke isnt going to make a nightly appearance

Well shes really ramped it up now bringing the bloke in when Im in bed. I had to sweep up 10 dog ends from out her bedroom window this morning. Then later on I was sorting my plants out and I saw him with his group of mates she saw me and ran away and hid behind a car. Shes getting herself into a right mess the quicker shes gone the better.
