Hi, I am wondering where is best to try prams now that Mothercare has gone?

Where is your local pram centre?

Yep John Lewis is great. But there are usually independent shops too that can be really helpful

We're up near Glasgow so we had one in East Kilbride and one in Ayrshire. Just have a google and see what you can find.

I've always gone to John Lewis.

I recommend the Pushchair Expert shop in Boston. They have a track of different surfaces and kerbs to test the prams on, they also have weighted dolls so you get a realistic experience as pushing an empty pram is different to pushing a pram with a baby in it. We’re not local, around an hour and a half away but visited after a day out and had great customer service.

Independents are usually best. You can find them by going to the website of a popular pram brand e.g. Bugaboo, and looking for stockists. Then pick the nearest non chain name you can see. They tend to have much more knowledgeable staff.

100% John Lewis. They were super helpful when I bought my son's pushchair last year.
