Another holiday stroller/buggy thread!

Morning all!
I have a two year old and am looking for a stroller/buggy to take abroad.
I was looking at the chicco miinimo 2 but then have read a few reviews saying the wheel axle snaps Confused
Don’t want anything too expensive as I’ll be gutted if it gets damaged on the plane. If I’m happy using it on holiday then it’ll end up replacing current pram.
Thanks all for your recommendations Grin

Joie nitro, though the hood doesn't provide the best shade

BeansOnToast123 · 18/02/2020 10:36

I already have one of those pop up shades that clip on so that’s no problem.
Is joie any good? We originally had one of their car seats and it felt really cheap so we ended up replacing it.

The Chico echo has just been suggested after looking at the joie nitro on Argos. I’ve no idea what these two brands are like though?!

We bought a joie nitro for a holiday and ended up using it every day since.

There’s a few Zeta strollers coming up on amazon too but I’ve not heard of them?
To be honest I’m trying to find reviews but look on eBay too to see if I can get myself a bargain.

Get a 2nd hand Baby Jogger CMGT. Robust enough to soldier through the roughest of baggage handlers. Huge seat, huge hood. Folds in half in one motion with one hand. Light push, handles most terrains brilliantly.

Mammyloveswine · 18/02/2020 10:52

The bugaboo bee is fab!

I picked one up second hand for 30 quid!

BeansOnToast123 · 18/02/2020 12:16

@Mammyloveswine you got that for a right bargain price!!!

Another joie nitro vote here.

Also, possibly a daft question, but do you just take the buggy to the airport or do you need to tell the airline in advance?

yukka · 25/02/2020 19:56

I just bought the silver cross wing on offer for £150, tried it on Sunday, 7 month old was happy as Larry, reclines, full uv shade, fully collapsible, lightweight etc should last till she's 4. Taking abroad next week.

StealthMama · 25/02/2020 19:57

@Morgan12 check with the airline but most let you take 2 extra hold items when you book a child. So you get it tagged at bag drop and leave it at the stairs into the plane.

Avebury · 26/02/2020 12:45

Joie Nitro isn't great for tall toddlers though so you might want to check DC for size in one before you buy.
A second hand maclaren might be better as they have a slightly longer back rest.

BeansOnToast123 · 27/02/2020 10:46

What age are you generally finding they last till? Most have an upper weight of 15kg.
