Thomas land at deayton manor was great.

Also sundown in nottinghamshire

PrincessHoneysuckle · 17/02/2020 16:43

Drayton manor

LER83 · 17/02/2020 16:44

Depends what they like! All of mine (and me &dh) loved legoland! None of them have ever been bothered by peppa so we haven't been there. Youngest loves thomas so Thomasland is down for this year. I'm guessing cbeebies caters for lots of different cbeebies interests!

oohnicevase · 17/02/2020 16:50

Thomas land at Drayton manor is fab both mine loved it at that age. We went again last summer dcs are 12 and 8 and yes they went mainly on the rides in Drayton manor but did enjoy a few in Thomasland.

Bluewavescrashing · 17/02/2020 17:18

None of them have ever been bothered by peppa so we haven't been there.

There is so much more at Paultons than Peppa!

2 x big splash parks
Log flume Lost World dinosaur theming
Great roller coasters for bigger kids
Animals- penguins, meerkat, flamingoes, chameleon (my fave) plus loads more
Huge soft play area
4d cinema
Shows during holidays eg Christmas, Easter, Halloween
Traditional fairground rides-- teacups, pirate ship, smaller coasters, carousel
Great parks and gardens
Toddler rides
Etc

Peppa pig world at Paultons is great. If you go during the summer make sure you take swimming/water play stuff and towels too. They’ve got a lovely wet play area as well as rides.

AlfieandAnnieRose · 17/02/2020 17:26

CBeebies was a hit with my 3 year old. We stayed at the CBeebies hotel which was pricey but worth it as you get free car parking, early entry into the resort the next day, evening entertainment which includes meeting some of the characters, breakfast and I’m sure there was a ticket deal like the second day was free although I may be wrong.
We went in April and my little boy still talks about it so we’re going again for his birthday this year!
Some have mentioned there’s not much to do, but we were there the whole day and he didn’t get bored. He wanted to go on most of the rides several times and there’s also shows and the tree fu Tom playground. 100% recommend!

nuttynutjob · 17/02/2020 17:30

Longleat. There is also a Centre Parcs near Longleat

gerbo · 17/02/2020 17:34

Paultons. Clean, well run...lots for small children. I was impressed and I'm not a theme park person.

Nan0second · 17/02/2020 17:34

Twinlakes at Melton Mowbray
Perfect for kids up to age 8.
Loads to do but not huge.
Brilliant once they are over 95cm as they can go on nearly everything but good over 90cm as there’s plenty to entertain

PanicAndRun · 17/02/2020 17:49

Chessington, even though it wasn't on the list.

We've actually been to all except Legoland, and Chessington is one we always go back to despite DD being 8 now.

Drayton Manor was boring.
Paulton's park, the peppa bit was ridiculously busy ,a 45 minute queue with a 2 yo is no fun, and we actually ended up going in the main bit for most of the day . We got to do quite a few rides in the main bit.

Tbh, if finances allow, I would try doing one of their short stays offers, regardless of what you pick. You're not as rushed or stressing you won't do everything, most places do early passes the next day and you can enjoy all the extra bits without feeling like you're wasting your day.

Figgygal · 17/02/2020 17:52

We did Chessington with our 8 and 2 year old last year and would recommend it for the combination of animals and Julia Donaldson themed rides

PanicAndRun · 17/02/2020 17:57

Why we like Chessington. Everything is fairly close by. The doughnuts are awesome. Sea world. Penguins, sea lions, tigers, lions, monkeys that you can visit as many times as you like. Creepy crawlies room. Animal encounter show. Little petting zoo. Various shows. Several soft plays. And ofc the rides, some can get really busy especially the good ones, but we always do our favourites on the next day with early pass. Last time DD went on the vampire 8 times in a row.

Forgetfebuary · 17/02/2020 18:04

Op can I ask why it has to be the uk?

I've also been to some on list, Paulton, lego, Chessington etc and none of them are a patch on theme parks, 3 hours drive from calais /Dover.

In all honesty I'd save your money and go to the efteling in Netherlands. Its so beautiful, knocks all those on the list out the water in UK and very easy to drive to or fly too.
It's not only beautiful and magical it's also amazing value compared to UK parks and the accommodation is delightful. Perfect ages for your dc.

RhymingRabbit3 · 17/02/2020 18:08

Legoland is fine but a lot of the rides have a 90cm height limit so 2yo probably wont be able to go on much. The splash park there is good though.

Paultons Park is brilliant - we live very locally - and there are loads of rides with no height limit so even a small 2yo could go on lots of things. My DD doesnt particularly like Peppa but it doesnt really matter. There are also lots of non- Peppa rides like a dinosaur section, tractor and digger rides, 2x splash parks, big play areas etc.

RhymingRabbit3 · 17/02/2020 18:09

Oh the only issue with Paultons is that there isnt a hotel on site. There is a travel lodge or premier in or something just up the road, but not walking distance and not themed.

NotGenerationAlpha · 17/02/2020 18:13

Defiantly paultons if they are into peppa. There are rides outside the peppa pig bit if they are over 90cm to 1m high. A lot of the park is very young children friendly.

99problemsandthecatis1 · 17/02/2020 18:24

Mine are that age and love Gulliver's. They can go on almost everything.

Bluewavescrashing · 17/02/2020 19:00

Personally I think the reason Paultons is so good is that they have avoided the hotel cash cow and just focused on making the park amazing, ploughing more money back into new rides every year. Compare it to Legoland where the rides break down every 5 minutes, the models are dirty and dated, etc.

SoloMummy · 17/02/2020 21:09

Drayton Manor hands down for that age.
Cheaper especially if in term time. You will be able to have multiple times on each ride. There will be minimal rides the eldest wouldn't be able to do that is age appropriate.
By far this was our best amusement Park venture. Even now 2.5 years since last trip, my lo would like a return trip over all of those Merlin Parks and Peppa Pig - which I personally found to be somewhat lacking.

zebrapig · 17/02/2020 21:29

Peppa Pig world or CBeebies Land. Done both with our two (also 4 and 2) last year and they loved it.
