What do you all do with old school books etc?

I'm in the middle of a massive sort out, possibly thinking of putting the house on the market. I'm having a really good declutter and merrily getting rid of an awful lot of junk.
One thing I'm struggling with though is old school books. I can't bring myself to throw them out but they take up so much space!
I have 3 children, year 5 and 3, and knew not at school yet but I already have so many books and this will only get worse.

What do you all do with yours?

Assuming you mean books that they have written in, drawn in, workbook type things. I have kept a very few. I only keep the ones which are particularly cute, early drawings, early writing, and then ones which have interesting stories or anecdotes attached. So, lots of English and History, one or two which got an award, one or two which had funny comments from teachers. No maths, or geography, or science, no languages.

Ask them. I keep anything that may be relevant when moving schools, the rest I let them go through... And the majority they happily put in the recycling bin. Moving house is great for decluttering.

DS is 8, we've kept the odd drawing or funny sentence, but most has been recycled. He brings home tons of stuff every Christmas/Easter/Summer.

I have a couple of small books from my own childhood (we moved a LOT, the rest got binned or lost) and I like looking back at them. Also most of my school reports - now, they're an eye-opener Shock

Thanks
I think I might just have to sort through them and keep the odd one. My parents have a massive attic so they were able to keep loads of things like that and I often enjoyed looking at them but unfortunately we don't have that luxury

Bin them. Maybe scan or photograph a few specific item, but otherwise don't bother keeping them.

I keep the ones they want and bin the rest
