Im back to work in 2 months, my 4 year old goes to childminder and started least week with my 6 month old but she cries the whole 2 hours she is there.
Any tips on making this better as never had any issue with my 4 year old

It's normal. Just ride it out and your LO will get used to it. You could try sending something that smells of you but don't worry, your childminder will be used to this and it's normal. The best piece of advice I always give is to keep drop offs short and upbeat and DO NOT EVER show you're anxious about it. Drop and run!!

She doesn't mind any other kids only mine, she does have 3 teens herself. When I collected her today I could hear her crying from outside and just felt so sorry for her and sorry for the childminder to have to listen to it!! I had thought about a t shirt that smells like me, I'll try that Monday

Also sorry I realise my OP is wrong, I'm back to work in 2 weeks, not months

I've just had this OP, but with a nursery. Realistically, she is going to have to get used to it, you're not able to not go back to work, and she has her sibling with her. If she has a comforter she sleeps with, stuff it down your shirt and then let her take it (have to say the scent thing never worked for my kids but some swear by it) and do the drop and run thing. My DH stands and chats at nursery as he does the pick up. He was amazed that I don't do the same in the morning but I've struggled to get her to hand over to the staff, so I do just dump her in the staff member's arms, still in her coat, and run, stopping only to say if she needs nappy cream or has had calpol overnight. It does get easier but you're looking at giving it a month.
