Are there any shops that will help to set up computer, printer at your home?

Hi there, I am in London, and I’m wondering if there is a way to have someone help to install everything at home? I need to buy a computer, and a printer with a scanner or copier. In any case, I need to update my technology. I really have no clue how to do any of these things…

I don’t know about shops but perhaps you could ask at your local library? They might be able to point you in the right direction.

To be honest most things are literally plug in nd follow the onscreen instructions. You can be up and running in minutes generally even with no technical knowledge

Rainbow, even with something like a printer? Are they very difficult to set up?

You tube will help you if you get stuck
Hello but more printers are very way to setup, I doubt you will need any help.

PC World used to and not that long ago. They make a charge.

Even printers are plug in and follow the instructions. YouTube if you’re desperately stuck but usually it’s straightforwardly simple.

Do you know anyone with a teenager? My son helps me sort out our tech!

GrumpyHoonMain · 13/02/2020 14:59

Apple will for their own products. You just need to ask them.

Most printers are very easy to set up and the manufacturer will provide decent instructions. I had to set up a printer-scanner-copier for work and the biggest issue was that I needed to get the admin password for my laptop.

I would give it a go on my own before asking for any help. You can't do much damage by getting it wrong.

Currys do this for a fee

I don’t know any teenagers in this area, unfortunately…

Do you have a small computer desk at home? I live in a very minimal studio and I don’t have that much room… I need to set up a corner for work and study though. Does the printer fit on the desk?

Yes the last few times that I have bught a printer it was a case of plug in and literally follow a few simple instructions. Most are now wifi enabled so do not need to be anywhere near the PC. I kept mine in a cupboard in a different room
