Getting to sleep comfortably with larger breasts

flopsytheflatcat · 12/02/2020 19:50

I love sleeping on my front but find it really uncomfortable because it hurts. Is this a normal thing or could this be a sign of something else? Also is there any comfortable way to sleep on my front ? Should I wear a bra at night?

Sorry, wasn't sure where to post this so hope on Chat is ok

It's painful for me to even lie on my front for a massage let alone sleep.

Sorry I can't be much help as I only sleep on my side and back due to breast size...

Purpleartichoke · 12/02/2020 19:55

I wear a soft bra at night. Difficult to find one that fit because they don’t really make them
For my cup size, but once I did I bought a stack

flopsytheflatcat · 12/02/2020 20:00

Do they just feel super sensitive? Mine can be so sensitive that I have to turn on my back and I hate sleeping like that

I've always used a boob pillow, hate and abhor a bra in bed.

artisanparsnips · 12/02/2020 20:08

Bravissimo do really nice sleep bras which I find really comfortable to sleep in. I didn't used to, but since breastfeeding and getting older, they were all over the show and the bra really helps.

EmmiJay · 12/02/2020 20:19

As a humongous boobie owner too. It can get uncomfortable sleeping sometimes. I find a pillow tucked over my arm, snuggled under my neck and pushing my boobs up helps tons. I sleep braless because my shoulders need a break from the straps!

Playdoughbum · 12/02/2020 20:26

I used to sleep on my front despite my boobs. But I don’t now as it’s terrible for your neck and my chiropractor told me not to- basically you end up sleeping looking over one shoulder which is a big strain.
But if you want to, the Marielle sleep bras on amazon do help flatten it all out a bit comfortably.

HappyAsASandboy · 12/02/2020 20:37

@TheQueef what is a boob pillow?!?

TheQueef · 12/02/2020 20:49

Like a long sausage pillow Sandy like a draft excluder size.
You just plait your bosom with it Grin

My Nan was 4'10 and had battleship size boobs, she swore by it.
I get tangled up in my knockers if I don't use it now!

Ginkypig · 12/02/2020 20:56

queef

Post a picture of it please. Not your battleships obviously the boob cushion

TheQueef · 12/02/2020 21:02

Aw I can't even give nudes away.
Mine is very similar to this (but 40yrs old and aged) and has feathers in.
Much smaller than those body pillows but perfect for propping up erstwhile tits.

Where's my pic?

Oh well, I wear comfort bras. Bit like crop tops but very elasticated

HappyAsASandboy · 13/02/2020 11:47

@TheQueef that is very interesting! Looks like a draught excluder Grin

Ido t k is how to ask this without sounding like a perv, but how do you 'wear' it? I am imagining it making a sort of circle in which you put your boobs when front sleeping so that your body rests on the draught excluder rather than on the bed via your boobs?

TheQueef · 13/02/2020 13:00

It sits below the pillows so when I'm ready for sleep I tuck an end under my arm, slap one on then pillow then the other it's ace in summer for sweaty cleavage.
I'm sure it's a 'thing' (it isn't home made I think the label says Damart) but the closest I've found is bean bag type ones which are ok but heavier and aren't as long.
My Nan was Dutch so maybe a continental thing Grin

TheQueef · 13/02/2020 13:06

As it's mnet I should also say brilliant for bf, I was like a milk tanker but it saved my back!

ActualHornist · 13/02/2020 13:21

@Purpleartichoke I’ve just bought this soft bra which is the only one I have ever bought that gives me comfortable support, but also has side panels so my boobs aren’t just squashed like a pillow.

However, I tend to sleep in those soft and not at all supportive crop tops that are about £3 each, because otherwise my boobs go all over. I’ve woken up in pain more than once with one underneath me!

Fallsballs · 13/02/2020 14:13

That bra is now £17.50 in Simplybe but reviews said the bottom part rolls up ?

CrowleysBentley · 13/02/2020 14:35

I wear these stretchy crop top things, they're quite soft and very stretchy so feel comfortable, but just enough to stop my very big boobs from getting in the way and making every sleep position uncomfortable.

TreestumpsAndTrampolines · 13/02/2020 14:57

I sleep in what first-aiders would recognise as the recovery position when on my front, with a firm pillow - although I find that if I am on a soft mattress, or I have been neglecting my core at the gym I get a fierce lower back ache from it and can't sleep on my front at all.

I'm intrigued by the boob pillow, and will experiment with a rolled up towel later!

BoxyLoxy · 13/02/2020 15:18

I alos sleep in the recovery position - was thinking about how to describe it but thanks @TreestumpsandTrampolines for so accurately describing it!

StCharlotte · 13/02/2020 19:09

I also sleep in the recovery position. I have also been told It's bad for the neck.

Sometimes my breasts hurt if I don't get them in the right position.

Jolonglegs · 13/02/2020 19:28

Another vote for Marielle sleep bras for my DD twins, and yes the recovery position though often end up on my back

AnotherEmma · 13/02/2020 19:33

Kindred bravely sleep bras from Amazon
But yeah, it hurts to lie on my front
Intrigued by the Boob pillow!

TheQueef · 13/02/2020 19:46

Oi!
Boobpillow ™ Hmm
not entirely sure it's been invented, wouldn't be the first lie Nan told
Grin
