Hand luggage - Ryanair and Easyjet

Hi,

I’m taking two flights next week, one with Easyjet and one with Ryanair, I only have hand luggage. I’ve only ever travelled with a bag that i’ve checked in and has gone under the plane before so i’m wondering how it works with cabin bag only...

I need to take things like hair straighteners and make up (mascara, lipgloss, foundation etc) Also body lotion, face moisturiser, make up remover, perfume etc...

Can I take all of the above, providing the liquids/creams are under 100ml and in those clear little bottles that you can buy in Superdrug etc... Is there a set limit of how many I can take? What about things like hairspray and deodorant? Buy it whilst away and don’t bring it back Hmm

Thanks everyone. Kind of you to reply.

I’m not faffing around looking for make up/make up remover once I get there, but it’s a good idea to pop in to Boots for some essentials when through security.

EasyJet allow a cabin bag plus a handbag if you book extra legroom seats.

Go to each airline’s website and read their T&Cs for baggage very carefully and make sure you comply precisely. If you don’t, you will be charged. Ryanair, in particular, have a well-earned réputation for changing their baggage rules every few months. A cynic would think they do this to catch out as many people as possible, so they can charge them...

Airlines do not decide what can and cannot be taken through security and into the cabin. That is controlled by the government and airports. Check the rules on the website of the airport you are flying from.

For make up remover, soak some cotton wool pads at home and wrap in cling film. They can then just go in your bag. Decant foundation into a small pot like you get samples in. Same with moisturiser. for perfume I collect those little spray samples and take one of those. The only thing I use the little bottles for is shampoo and conditioner.
