Where abouts exactly do you feel the pain when you get a flare up & how does it feel??

Just that really. I'm trying to establish if a doctor is right, or I should be concerned there's more going on as current site of my pain flare ups are not where it was previously IYSWIM. Will add more later. Thanks

I should have added. I am under lower gastro too. Due another colposcopy, but that doctor was rudely dismissive & refused to look at my right flank pain at all

Under right boob around to the side.

Its like having belt around there and its being continuously tightened.

After reading this I am going for a check up as I have a few episodes a year of this type of thing, feeling squashed and tight in upper abdomen with diarrhoea usually but also nausea. It totally clears up in between and I forget about it. Haven't had the excruciating pain yet but maybe that will come! I did have full bloods in November though including liver and kidney function, they were clear, does this make it unlikely?

My liver and kidney function tests were/are all fine. My gallstones (or gall-sludge in my case) were picked up after I was feeling unwell with what I thought was a UTI, I had an episode of intense pain that had me rolling around my bed crying out to DH that it hurt and they did bloods. Bloods showed a slightly raised CA125, it was 32 which was only slightly outside of the normal range but my GP is nothing if not thorough and referred me for a scan. The scan showed everything was normal except for gallstones so I was referred to have it out.

My CA125 stayed slightly outside of the normal range for a further two follow up tests but dropped lower each time (30 and then 27), as it can indicate inflammation the leading theory is that it picked up the inflammation in my gallbladder.

I haven't had any further episodes of the intense, rolling around the bed pain but I have the pain in my left front abdomen fairly regularly.

My GP did say gallstones are fairly common and you only know you have them if you start having problems, he reckons if you pulled 100 random people in for a scan then around 60-70 of them would have non-symptomatic gallstones.
