Would you call in?

I'm exhausted, supposed to get up in five minutes but I've had at most three hours sleep and that was very interrupted sleep. I'm working five hours today but I feel exhausted and as if I'll be putting children in danger with how not with it I am. Would you call in sick to work if you'd had so little sleep and look after under 3s including a child with sen?

No go in, you'll be home before you know it.

Obviouspretzel · 11/02/2020 07:32

No. But maybe you should if you feel you can't do it.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 11/02/2020 07:34

I wouldn’t take the day off no.

AzraiL · 11/02/2020 07:34

I wouldn't. I would fuel myself with coffee and try to get through the day as best I can, because knowing my luck, after calling in sick I'll actually get sick for real and then have to call in again! But I do sympathise, OP BrewBrewBrew

No, just power through.

If you 'call in' what cover would there be?

Sofacat · 11/02/2020 07:35

I would go in , I’ve worked many a time with little sleep, you just have to power through .

Spied · 11/02/2020 07:38

Depends if your work could and would be easily covered.

namechangin · 11/02/2020 07:39

Right I'm up! Kettle is on, back door is open as I'm hoping the cold air will also wake me up 😂
I often go in with little sleep simply due to having a baby, but today feels a lot worse for some reason

In regards to cover there would be a few members of staff kept for bank work that could cover my shift if needed

This is most nights these days for me since the meno rubbish started so, no, coffee and crack on.

Finewine1976 · 11/02/2020 07:55

Well done! I had to be up at 3am to take my DS to school for a trip! I'm sat at my desk in the classroom with coffee banana and energy water!

namechangin · 11/02/2020 07:57

Oh god I dread the early morning drop offs for school trips, well done for managing it!
Why is it now the baby decides to sleep though?! All night I was being kicked and pushed and had moaning in my ear as she couldn't get comfortable, and now it's almost time to leave she's happily snoring away 🤦‍♀️
