Multiple Sclerosis Instagram Accounts

I am looking for people who have multiple sclerosis and use instagram for stories of natural healing (doesn't have to be completely natural, as I understand that many people opt for both natural remedies and medication as well).

New to all this, and would like to follow some people. Currently don't know any other young person with MS.

Hi Naturally. I have MS too and manage it largely with lifestyle (not averse to meds but nothing useful has ever been offered, and I'm SP now).

Have you heard of Terri Wahls? I believe she has an Instagram account though I personally follow her through Facebook. Her protocol helps me enormously and I aim to follow her recommendations, although sometimes I struggle with willpower. When I did follow her diet strictly I felt much better.

I have MS and follow a largely WFPBD and have done for 8 years following diagnosis. I do take a DMD but my diet has made the biggest difference to my condition. I use IG to share my homecooked vegan food.

I follow overcomingms and themsgym

Hi Red! I'm interested in what you say, it's odd how msers following ostensibly very different diets report feeling they help them. I'd love to know if there's a common theme. Can I ask, do you eat gluten?

I know that when I slip and eat gluten, dairy or sugar I feel worse. I also believe I have interstitial cystitis so that's a whole lot of new triggers I will have to avoid. It's crap having to stick to a rigid way of eating to feel vaguely normal though Sad

@seekingwaxwings I do eat gluten but not very much, I don't eat a lot of bread, maybe once a week but don't intentionally cut it out. I don't eat a lot of sugar either, again not intentional it's just that I don't eat a lot of sweets or chocolate, I never add sugar but do eat some fruit although not a lot.

It sounds like it may be restrictive but it really isn't, as I am so used to this way of eating now. I feel so good on it, I still have MS it's not a cure but the day I was diagnosed I said to my DH that diet was the only thing I could control and do something for myself. I initially followed Swank but found the recipes were all in USA food measures and shops, then I did OMS but in the end, went fully vegan or WFPB as I prefer as I try to avoid processed junk.

Hi! I'm late to the party, but I've recently found out I have MS. I'm thinking about managing it with lifestyle, I heard it works for many people, though I'm not sure I should avoid taking meds as they aim at slowing the process down.
