Anyone in the WI or other similar women’s group?

I’m thinking about having a trial session at my local WI and wonder what other’s experiences are.

I’ve lived here for 15 yrs but have no friends. I have plenty of people that I know but would not say they are friends. I wouldn’t ask any of them to go to the cinema for instance.

I thought maybe through a women’s group I might meet some nice people.

I'm a member of a young wi. We're full subscribed and there is such a mix of people. I've made some great friends who I would never have met otherwise. I would recommend getting in the commitee or helping out in some way....it really helps to get you in a group from the start if you dont know anyone else. I do something with my wi girls every week now

This is why I started a book club. Severely disappointed with my local WI 🧵 🧶

I'm in the WI. Varied ages. I really enjoy most of the speakers we have, and the walks we do. Met some great people!

I was considering joining a local WI. Got as far as enquiringly and was sent names and contact details for groups - looked up local group's Facebook page and saw numerous posts by the WI leader in support of Farage and Piers Morgan.

Nope.

*enquiring, the "ly" was random.
