If a friend knocks for your child and they turn them down?!

My dd friend came and called on her. My dd said she didn't want to hang out just now.
On one hand I think this is okay. My dd is entitled to say no sometimes. However I feel bad for the child turned down!
How do you handle this?

I mean, its been handled.

I dont understand the problem?

You teach your child how to turn them down nicely.

So not 'I don't want to', but 'I'm sorry I can't right now, maybe another time'.

I'm over thinking!

Feel glad your kid is assertive and knows their own mind.

Yes
Thank you
I overthink. My own issue!

I used to feel like this but really it's good your DD is able to say no if she doesn't want to.
I find that in this cold weather most of the friends who come calling are the ones who don't want to play out- but instead come in to play ( mess your house). Most have been sent by parents who hope you let them in so they can keep their tidy home and have some peace ( but wouldn't allow your child in their home to play).

I don't see the problem?
Good on your dd for saying no.
