Have you biked to France with kids?

I have booked a holiday in eurocamp in Brittany in May. I am considering getting a ferry from Portsmouth to st Malo taking bikes and a bike carriage but no car. From st Malo the campsite is about 21 miles away. Could we do this with an 8 year old accompanying us and a 4 year old in a trailer?

Has anyone else done this or should we just take a car, train or flight? I'll be going with DP too.

I have no idea if you can do it or not but I'm very much liking your style. In the past I've used Google Street view to work out out if somewhere is walkable. If you do end up going good luck !

I'm trying to do micro adventures @fedup2017. Good Idea will try street view.

I don’t have personal experience, but a look at this amazing family’s blog might help you decide. Their children were 5,5 and 8 when they cycled through France.

No actual experience but DH and I sailed Poole - Cherbourg over the summer and there were hoardes of cyclists coming off the ferry at either end.
It sounds like good fun if you're the sort of family who cycle anyway. We've also stayed at that site and everything was easily accessible by bike.
