Is this for a dentist or a doctor?

I was kicked in the face the other night. It was a kick from a child. The child kicked my left cheek. Within seconds I tasted blood in my mouth. I don't know where the blood came from. I was able to stop the blood with cold water.

After that I felt the pain in my upper archway on the side the child kicked me on.

It was major pain. It was more of a tenderness. I'm taking nurofen every day. There's no big pain. There's swelling but I do feel tender. At first the tenderness was in that area where I was kicked. Now it's definitely starting from the top of my upper lip, and going along my cheek to about an inch of my ear. Again there's no big pain. It's just tenderness.

I'd have said dentist - sounds like possibly it would need an X-ray to see if there was damage, and they've got the right kit for that.
Maybe phone yours, describe what happened and see what they say?

I agree...your dentist is the specialist for anything related to what you are describing...I'm sorry you were kicked! Sounds awfulFlowers

Doctor to check for a broken cheek bone so I'd go to the local minor injuries

Dentist, they can x ray on site, including the jaw and get the results pretty much immediately, your GP can't
