35 weeks, cramping and my lower back is hurting

I'm 35 weeks today with number 4. With my first 2, I was induced at 41+3 and 40+5. My 3rd came at 40+3 on her own.

I've been having stomach cramps like period pains on and off all day. My lower back has been aching a lot too. I had a bath to try to ease it but it's actually got worse.

Do I need to call the hospital?

Good luck, hopefully by the time you read this you will be cuddling your little one. My twins were born at exactly 34 weeks last summer, weighing 4lb 15oz and 3lb 6oz. They didn’t need to go to NICU at all or have any intervention other than feeding tubes and incubators to keep them warm. Now, at 5 1/2 months old, they are doing really well and weigh 15lb 5oz and 11lb 6oz.

Thank you everybody. We have named her Eleanor Willow Lake.

@DownWhichOfLate My other 3 were 8lbs 7oz, 8lbs 12oz and 9lbs 3oz so was definitely expecting another big one at full term.

That’s a lovely name. I had similar with my children - first was full term and quite large, second was a few weeks early and 6lbs. Have her elder siblings been to visit? Or are you home already?

Ninkanink · 07/02/2020 14:24

Awwwwww how wonderful! Flowers

And I recognise you from the name thread you posted, so I must say I love the final choice on names. Well done you, and welcome to the world little Eleanor! Flowers
