A full day alone?

helpmerelaxx · 04/02/2020 15:56

I'm currently recovering from an operation, and have sat about the past few days watching films/tv and also done all of my cleaning.
I'm still off tomorrow, everyone in my house is working and I have another day off alone. I'm feeling mostly better so can now enjoy it fully.
I live rurally and can not drive until I'm better so limited to the house unfortunately, but please could people give me some suggestions as to how you would spend your day?

Thank you! Well and truly bored.

Clear my wardrobe out and sort clothes, very therapeutic!

Then binge watch jam and Jerusalem Grin

Could you invite over a friend for lunch?
Do some baking?
Make a special evening meal?
Consider doing one of the jobs some people never get around to like sorting your wardrobe?
Or you could treat yourself and call a mobile hairdresser/ beauty therapist to get you feeling great and pampered?

I’d find some cricket to watch on TV .

Therapeutic clear out of a cupboard/area that's bothering you.

Jigsaw, pot of tea and chocolate biscuits

Make a list of everything in your freezer

Write a list of all the meals you enjoy cooking on a note on your phone so you can quickly gain inspiration when doing a food shop

Make yourself a delicious lunch with a glass of lovely wine (if you drink)

Have a snooze

Spend 10 minutes making up a little kit for by the sofa so you can 'fiddle about' in the evenings.. tweezer, make up wipes, nail varnish remover, nail file, nail scissors/ nice hand cream, heel cream, lip balm etc etc I find it makes me do it more if it's all sitting there!

I'm very jealous!

Okay fantasy time

If I had the money I'd order lots of delicious things from Waitrose to arrive at ten
I'd have a pain an chocolate for breakfast and then wallow in the bath for an hour with a good book

At noon I'd have a glass of wine with something delicious I'd order in the shopping lkke salmon linguine

Then I'd probably have another and watch a film

Then a snooze

Then more delicious Waitrose food, probably a Chinese banquet with the family when they got home

But like I say, if I had the money Grin

Some lovely suggestions so far.

I'd recommend trying to venture outside for a short walk if you're feeling up to it.

Tidying wardrobe is a good idea. Maybe list some items on eBay if you want to make some extra money.

I love colouring in when I want something to occupy my mind but not be taxing.

Some nice food?(Even be decadent and order in some lunch!) Spend all morning on Mumsnet! .Maybe a gentle walk (wrap up as chilly tomorrow).Bake some bread?.Relax and have a nice bath, lots of bubbles have a relaxing snooze!

Make marmalade. Love seeing the row of pots gleaming. But I haven't finished eating last year's!

Thank you all so much for some amazing suggestions!
I think I'm going to get my husband to nip me to the shop tonight so I can get myself in some real treat food.
Then I'll wake up, make myself a nice breakfast and start organising my wardrobe.
It's such a great suggestion because I haven't actually done it in so long and I could do with putting some stuff on eBay!

Once I've finished that I'll either go for a walk or have a snooze on the sofa. The snooze may win Blush
