We're currently using aptimal for our nearly 2 week old. However I heard mamia is almost identical?
I buy the aptimal in 700g tubs 3 for £27 in costco.
Mamia is 900g for £7 so apart from price difference is there any other differences?
Obviously main thing is he drinks it.
Just Wodnering whether to change now whilst young?
Aldi is around a 20.min drive but I do use it to shop.. When I can be bothered. But if I got formula there if have to go iyswim
Costco is a 2.min drive, 10 min walk.

We used Mamia. DD didnt get on with Aptamil.

Apparently it's very close to the previous Aptamil formula, not the current one which seems to have caused lots of issues.

I watched a programme about formula milks on channel 4, really interesting about value for money

as he is tiny, you might be better off changing slowly.
Assuming he is on a 4 oz bottle for eg.
Day one, use 3 scoops of aptimil and one scoop of mania
Day 3, 2 scoops of each
Day 5, 1 aptimil and 3 mania
Day 7, all mamia.
As all his little timmy has ever known is aptimil.
Also, take an aptimil tub with you and compare the ingredients.
All baby milks have to meet the same quality and nutrition standards

Sorry, my phone has decided mamia is mania

We went to opposite way, swapped from Mamia to Aptamil (because DS needed hungry baby milk) and he was absolutely fine. No problems. The Mamia milk was great. The only inconvenience with it was, you can't get pre-made bottles of it. When we are out and about, we always take the ready made bottles. When we went on holiday, we ordered 20 ready made bottles and one box of formula for click and collect at the airport. Those things you can't do with milk that you can only buy in one supermarket.

We've now switched to Cow and Gate, which is made in the same factory as Aptamil, and we are happier with that. It's still available in all supermarkets but is £8 per tub rather than £11 that we were paying for Aptamil and 75p per ready made bottle rather than 85p.

It's £1 difference between Cow and Gate and Mamia and I'm glad we pay that difference to not be limited to one supermarket.
