Biting, chewing, touching EVERYTHING

Sorry I'm posting chat for traffic !

DD is our oldest and is 3 in March. Full set of teeth. But she always needs to be biting something or chewing on something !
Wether it be her hands, which she leaves covered in red marks from biting ! Or a blanket, or her hat, toys she's playing with. Anything !
Dentist had said her teeth are perfect a full set.

She also is very "touchy". If we are sitting together she can't not put her hands up my sleeves, holding my hands, touching and stroking my face, putting her fingers in my ears or playing with my ear lobes, putting my hands under her clothes so I can feel her tummy .
Even her 1 year old brother can't escape Shock
they nap time together on a afternoon and I have to ask her to leave him alone and stop putting her fingers in his ears Incase she hurts him !

She goes to nursery 5 mornings a week, and they have pulled me to one side about the chewing and biting things there aswell. Also at grandparents she does it.
She's never ever bitten anyone though. Fantastic at talking she communicates brilliant.
Hit all milestones. I do try to give her as much attention and affection as possible but somethings it's difficult having the 1 year old to trying to split myself in half .

I'm a sahm to her and her little brother so by bedtime I'm all touched out !
Does anyone else's toddler do this ?

Yep
Except she isn't a toddler any more.
She is in her last year of infant school...
Look at chewlery on internet.
Helps mine a lot.

@MyNameHasBeenTaken is your daughter quite a touchy feely child aswell?
I've just ordered one of those LEGO shaped chewers I'm hoping the teachers in nursery let her chew it if they see her chewing her clothes etc

We all have different sensory needs, some kids need to move constantly, some can't stand the feel of certain clothes, some like to stroke labels..
Your describing that your child is a sensory seeker, particularly with her mouth, but she also has busy fingers. As mentioned by MyName there is purpose made safe chewable jewellery available, which would divert her from injuring her self or destroying her clothes. She might also like a texture rich diet in her food, carrot sticks, chewy meat, ice cubes, crunchy crackers.
For her hands, experiment with fiddle type toys (suitable for her age of course) textures rubber balls, velvety scarf, those reversible sequin cushions, see if she will divert into these instead of twiddling with you and the baby!

@tatyr that's such a good idea about the sensory toys aswell! Definitely will look into those for her thankyouSmile

Deffo recommend chewelry, I have a lovely pendant that takes the brunt of my need to bite with no evidence shown

My dd...
Where do i start??
Constantly climbing, touching, undoing things (like pens, pegs, rolls of tape...),chewing (clothes, fingers, toes, collars, sleeves, now chewelry)
Touching her classmates, touching anything!
She has various fidget toys, but takes them to pieces.
But as a result of this, she is very good at drawing and colouring. And sewing/knitting.
These give her a chance to fidget, but in a good way .

Tatyr
I smiled when I read your post.
My dd does a lot of those things, but I hadn't made the connection.
She loves chewy meat, crispy potato skins, ice cubes and reversible sequins¡
