Slow cooker/aluminium - is it bad?

I'm interested in making bone broth for health benefits. I ordered a slow cooker online and should be with me in the mail next week.

I read a few bits online about some materials/metals in slow cookers can be bad. Aluminium was one of them. It said something about cooking for a long period of time can draw out lead and the food absorbs the lead. Something like this.

Does anyone here have a slow cooker? Should I be worried about this and the possibility of lead poisoning. Should I return it and find something else.

I don't think that would be possible. Mine has a ceramic pot and I don't see how anything could get through that.

Slow cookers have been around for a long time and I have never heard of anyone getting lead posioning from one.

Sometimes people slow cook things wrapped in aluminium foil, is that what you mean?

My slow cooker inner is metal so I can brown stuff on the hob before cooking. It's not any different from low heat cooking in the oven

The slow cooker inner pot is aluminium.

It's probably a rubbish/trash claim I read online. Thanks for putting my mind at ease.

Lead and aluminium are different elements. You can’t get lead poisoning from aluminium; it’s impossible.

Should I not cook things wrapped in foil in the slow cooker? I often do jacket potatoes like that.
