Laundry help (painfully dull)

I use a fresh dish cloth and tea towel every day. DS eats his meals here 4 days a week (3 at childminder) and I use a mini flannel to clean him up after every meal. This is all our 'kitchen washing'

I dont like to mix this washing with the rest of the laundry - it's all upstairs and I do most things at 40 apart from the kitchen stuff, towels and bedding.

I usually keep the kitchen washing in a plastic box in the utility but I only need 1 or 2 60 washes a week. To my horror I noticed there was mould in the box as I put the stuff in the wash today. I realise I have been putting DS's flannels in wet so its just been sitting there Envy (not envy).

How can I store the kitchen stuff until i put a wash on? I really try with cleanliness stuff and just feel a bit thick for now knowing how to do this...

Can you hang the wet stuff to air dry until wash day? That's what i do if i have wet cloths, just hang them in the utility room until i have enough for a load.

Yes I do have a bar I could hang it on - our utility room is open and attached to our kitchen- will it all smell?

Thank u for not calling me grim - I'm mortified.

I think the point of a flannel is that you rinse it out, air it and re-use, you don't need to wash after one use.

I do everything at 40, OP. The only thing I don't mix is colours. Haven't killed anyone yet Grin

Problem is flannels end up covered in food - I do they are probably too dirty to reuse!

I'll air dry them, thanks for your help
