Amoxicillin antibiotics making me sick.

Hello, I was prescribed these antibiotics by my really lovely GP on Monday for a chest infection (I didn't actually go in for me I went in for my daughter but she insisted examining me too)

My daughter also has antibiotics but in liquid form which she's been reacting great too as well)

Has any one else taken the tablets amoxicillin?
They have certainly helped.
My chest is still quite tight and I'm coughing up lots of phlegm. But lots of improvement.

The only thing is these tablets make me feel incredibly sick, I've always been rubbish at tablet taking anyway! But I find from the moment of taking them up until about 3 hours later just constantly feeling really light headed and sick.

My mum said to stop taking them but I don't think that's a good idea. I'd rather finish the course.

Does anyone have any advice with the sickness?

Many thanks!

Those are known side effects of amoxicillin. Miserable though. Flowers

The best thing to do is to call your gp for advice, or talk to a local pharmacist.

Just to check, your chest isn’t tight because of the amoxicillin pills?

You don’t usually need to stop taking it just because of nausea. It might help to take it with food.

No it's tight because of the chest infection, I do think the pills are helping but (and I feel like such a child) I really do struggle to take them because I know how they are going to make me feel. They have a horrible taste too which doesn't help.
