Which Haven park is best for kids?

So confused. I'm trying to book a 7 day UK break for June. I have two 4yr olds to entertain and recently recovered from a breakdown. So I still cannot really make proper decisions without triggering anxiety and becoming overwhelmed.
One of my DC has been diagnosed HF ASD if relevant. Don't want to end up having to mention it later and being accused of drip feeding!

We have always visited Haven in the past as DC love the Seaside Squad! Don't want to visit the same ones again, just fancy somewhere new.

Currently torn between Hafan Y Mor, Seashore in Norfolk and Devon Cliffs Confused

Seashore has a few bits to do onsite (new bar & soft play for 2020) and is close to Great Yarmouth which looks fun. Fairground rides etc, however is a pretty long drive. 4 hours.

Devon Cliffs looks a stunning location and would be my choice if I was travelling alone. Not much to do in local area for kids, but stunning none the less!
For onsite activities for kids, a few things and an outdoor lazy river for when it's warm. I would say it is 2nd best out of the 3 parks; but is the longest drive by far - 6 hours.

Hafan Y Mor has a new Dragon Adventure Village with all sorts, such as mini 4x4s, mini aerial adventure and dragon boats etc, along with a few other bits. Also an amazing water park and outdoor lazy river for if wales ever gets warm?! So onsite activities-wise it's by far the best of any Haven park I've ever known. However there's literally nothing in the local area, so if onsite stuff is closed for any reason, then what?!
Shortest drive - 3.5 hours

Help! Which shall I go with? If only Hafan Y Mor was close to Great Yarmouth or somewhere similar!

Sorry if it seems a daft question or a little obsessive. It's been a hard year with my breakdown and this is my one and ONLY chance to make it up to DC and create the best family holiday possible. Also, last year we were very cleverly scammed by someone posing as a caravan owner on a Haven park and ended up with no holiday. I've never seen DC so devastated. The pressure is on!
Thanks

We go to Hafan y mor every year, actually twice last year, I cant comment on the others as haven't been. My DS is 6 and cried when we left last year. It has not long had a refurb, it was good before but now it's even better. The site is immaculate, the kids activities are great and its on the beach. There is stuff to do in the area, the beach at Llanbedrog is picture postcard type, its beautiful.

I've been to Devon Cliffs. I have never seen so much dog shit in all my life. Another thing to be aware of is that the park is located next to a marines training base and we were kept awake with the sound of gunshots going off at all hours.

As the name suggests, it's on top of a cliff and there is a lovely beach at the bottom of you get the weather. It's very steep to get down it though and probably not ideal if any of your party have mobility problems.
There's a farm place located right by the main gates that's a good day out, there's a few soft play bits, deer safari, massive indoor sandpit.

Seashore is brilliant. We’ve been to Greenacres which is near to Hafan Y Mor and we really didn’t enjoy it - the pool at Greenacres doesn’t have a shallow end for kids, it’s 1.3m all the way along and the baby pool is literally inches deep. My 6 year old son was really disappointed as he loves to swim but couldn’t stand up in the main pool! There also wasn’t much to do in the general area. We saw a few castles and tried to go to snowdon in the train up the side but the fog was too bad to see anything (obviously this was just one of those things)! The beach was absolutely full of jelly fish. Wasn’t a great time for us to be honest! Blush

We normally go to Caister and that’s our favourite one. Pool is amazing, nice area, close enough to Yarmouth to enjoy that but quiet enough to be able to relax and do other stuff too.

We are off to Hafan Y mor in July, first time though been to many other Haven sites. I also have a high functioning ASD child, caravan holidays are ideal for him. He loves the beach and there looks like a beautiful beach nearby plus the pool and other activities look fab!

Not sure if you're aware op but Sun holiday campaign is on at the moment and you can book these sites through them I'm sure, should be cheaper if the dates are available.

@Goonergirl14, the pool is brilliant at Hafan y mor and as you come out there is a Millies cookie shop too :)

HavenDilemma · 30/01/2020 03:21

Thanks everyone! Sorry I haven't been back to the thread, had a busy day.

@bobstersmum Yeah thanks I've checked on there and there's nothing for any dates we're available. Plus would have to book two as they only have 3 and 4 night breaks on there for some reason.

@Goonergirl14 I bet July was expensive. I can't believe the prices at Hafan y Mor just for June! Plus it's almost sold out. I'm guessing it's a popular park.

I can’t comment on the others but we love Hafan Y Mor. There are a few things to do close by. Have you looked at Gypsy Wood Park? There’s a lovely beach close by and a Rabbit Farm (not just rabbits there). The heritage railway in porthmadog isn’t too far away either.

HavenDilemma · 30/01/2020 15:02

Thanks @ineedcoffeecoffeecoffee I'll check it out :)

@HavenDilemma a 4 day break at Hafan y mor has just come on at £139.50 for the 8/6 if that's any use ?

GlitchStitch · 31/01/2020 08:46

Seashore is great, they've just renovated the pool so it is really great for kids with fun zone etc. They also run a road train regularly from the park entrance along the seafront to the pier/ Joyland (mini amusement park with cheap affordable rides all suitable for younger children). The park itself is literally on the beach too.
