could you please explain how the process works once you get your do you deed poll documents back. I applied on Friday, how long should it take to receive my documents? After I receive them, do I just need to get them signed by a notary? Also, if any of you have other nationalities, how does it work after you have changed your name in getting a passport in your other country? Do you need to get the document translated into the language for your passport?

I did, I didn’t change mine until my British citizenship was done and dusted and I got rid of my previous citizenship before my name change.

Mine took 12 weeks or there abouts, probably due to complications of only being a citizen for a few weeks when I submitted. I had a solicitor sign it (easier than a notary) so I wouldn’t have problems using it to apply for a new passport etc.

I just had a deed poll signed in the presence of a witness. No notary or solicitor required at any point in process.

I can't comment on the dual citizenship aspect.
