Going on a hot destination holiday for 2 weeks at Easter.
I love tips on how to pack better, useful things to take etc.
Any suggestions please!

Mine is mostly lots of toiletry bags (in case of leaks), means can be spread about luggage too. mini bottles of hand wash (for swimsuits) and washing up liquid.

pegs to hang up those swim suits and something to fashion a washing line with.

For me it's always about packing and then removing half the clothes - as I pack too much.

I never take toiletries and use whatever the hotel provides or go to Lidl if there is one when I get there.

I always take a mini sewing kit and small first aid kit. Never used them yet.

Split your clothes between suitcases and pack a full day's worth of clothes and underwear and flip flops in hand luggage.

Saves you unpacking straightaway if room isn't right and you have some clothes to wear if luggage goes missing.

Take a mini intensive conditioning treatment- my hair always gets fucked by sun and chlorine.

Activated charcoal and milk thistle tablets for too much food and booze.

A big towel because hotel ones are too small and thin.

Medication split between bags.

I esp like the mini hair conditioning thing. I get frizzy!

Is it hotel or self catering?

I also overpack!!

I bought a thing where you can charge four devices simultaneously- that's been handy!!

And a bright red zippy packet for passports. As I fretted about losing them.

Backpack for DH. Very, very handy for everyone!!

Hotel with a fridge. So taking some snacks and some breakfast bits.

I touch the passports constantly!

Will the destination have different power plugs? If so, I bring a power board so that you only need one adapter for the wall plug then your other things can plug into the power board without adapters.

Bring a few large zip loc bags for messy/wet/dirty things on the plane or when out and about.

Bring a medium sized hard plastic container, like a Tupperware or similar box. There's always something you don't want to get squished in you luggage on the way there or back (eg souvenirs or toiletries), and when you're on day outings it's useful for putting food and snacks in, or anything else.

Write down everyone's passport details somewhere (secure) for easy reference, eg in your phone notebook, so if you're filling out arrival forms you're not juggling everyone's passports as well as your bags and toddlers etc (don't know if you have children).

On the plane, I have a separate pouch with the things I know I'll want within arm's reach, like phone charger, mints, pen, book, etc that I can keep in the seat pocket without having to get back into the overhead locker to rummage in bags.

Ooh power board.

I photograph passports and email them to myself and DH so can always access them.

Warm socks and a pashmina for the plane.
