February Half Term- what are you doing?

I am unexpectedly off work with two kids (12 and 3) but DH can't get time off. I've accrued TOIL so it's effectively a free week for me.

Budget of about £500. Don't mind staying at home (just outside of London) and doing day trips or going away.

What are you up to?

We are staying in Norfolk for 4 nights in an Airbnb. Planning on lots of beach walks but dinners at home to keep the costs down.

Working. DD is in her final year of college and is going up to York for a couple of days to visit the Uni.

Nada. Just had expensive trip to US for Christmas.
However May half term eldest off to Turkey with girlfriend, youngest off to Prague with school which leaves me at home alone!

I'm planning on being off for 3 days and I think we will just do a couple of day trips.

Lots of free and cheap things...and a trip to legoland they have tickets for £20 per person.

So Monday - Lego land

Tuesday - slime making and some craft bits
Wednesday - national trust place
Thursday - swimming (kids get swimming free as part of their membership and for me it’s £3.50)
Friday - chill day at home.

Will be lots of dog walks and pottering mixed in.

We have booked camping for May bank holiday and half term.

And I’m looking for a cheap deal in the summer holidays but not having much luck atm

I only have two days off and DD will need a break to recharge so for her it means 3 days slumping at home, she will go shopping with friends and for the two days with me we haven’t made any plans yet.

York May a suggestion to you, we went one year in October, even with less stellar weather there is lots to do and see. We had a sc cottage just outside the walls and did breakfast and most dinners inside.

Just back from a weekend in York- loved it!

I can't find anything that's appealed so far so think it'll be a week of day trips!
