Help for my ASD nephew - anyone recognise this toothbrush?

My lovely nephew left this toothbrush at my house this weekend; he is struggling to use the spare one at his mum and dads house because it’s blue.
No-one seems to remember where this one is from - google isn’t helping! Any ideas anyone?

How old is he as children’s toothbrushes are grouped by age? Might help narrow it down.

Tesco? DD has simliar in pink from
There.

BabbleBee · 23/01/2020 19:46

I’m pretty sure that’s a baby toothbrush sold in Tesco. The next size up has a sticky pad thing on the bottom of it.

My SIL thinks it’s a 0-2 age brush; it’s all he will use, which his dentist has said is better than nothing.
She knew she bought about a dozen As it was the texture of the bristles he was happy with and the colours hadn’t been a problem until now.

Yes, we have one. I'm pretty sure it came from Sainsbury's but I can't see it on their website I'm afraid.

SacharissaCrisplock · 23/01/2020 19:52

Ah, no, a previous commenter was right, it's from Tesco and it's this one eshop.tesco.com.my/groceries/en-GB/products/7070137943

seaduck · 23/01/2020 19:52

Yes pretty sure that's the Tesco baby toothbrush, we've had them a few times.

Mylittlepony374 · 23/01/2020 19:53

Tesco. Comes with some kind of animal cover on top.

dementedpixie · 23/01/2020 19:55

As an aside can I recommend Curaprox ultra soft smart toothbrushes if he outgrows the baby one and still has sensory issues around teeth brushing, this brand has really helped with getting ds aged 6 who has asd to brush his teeth.

Whyismycatanasshat · 23/01/2020 20:10

You are all AMAZING!
I think SIL and I are about to clear the UK of stock of these brushes!
Thank you so, so much, DN is really struggling with school at the moment and clearly little things are throwing him off, so this will make such a difference- one less stress load for him.

Thank you again.

I can guarantee that he will change his mind shortly afterwards.

BabbleBee · 23/01/2020 20:43

I remember when Tesco changed the design of the cereal box that DD would only have. I searched high and low for the old design then had to sneak new packets inside the old box! The things we have to do...!!!

Whyismycatanasshat · 23/01/2020 21:11

@BlackeyedSusan - then my DD for whom these brushes would be age appropriate shall have a new toothbrush every week!

Not really, we’d give them to a refuge, as SIL did previously with 10 pairs of school socks that became unwearable in 24 hours. Too towel like on the inside. And the new Disney towels. Which he loved but the towel
Texture was too much. Fortunately quick drying sport towels are fine.

We’re very lucky that he is very articulate in describing exactly what the cause of his discomfort is. Which makes life a little easier.

And less frustrating no doubt.

Whyismycatanasshat · 23/01/2020 21:42

Yes and no; because he obsesses about the difficulty finding an alternative and he gets very worked up and it is difficult to placate him; despite him being very articulate about his concerns, he can’t rationalise until a solution has been found, if that makes sense.
