(If you're using one, obviously!!)

I always seem to just chuck gammon in mine atm, or a giant cookie for pudding, so I'm looking for inspiration :)

Thanks @AlpineSnow, I've never actually tried making soup in it!

I use a hand blender once it's cooled down

A whole ox heart for the dog.. But at the weekend I did curried mutton.

AlpineSnow · 23/01/2020 10:34

I use red onion as i find it comes out better when not frying

CinderEmma · 23/01/2020 10:36

I'm not using it today but yesterday I made lasagne in it.

SchoolNightWine · 23/01/2020 10:51

Bolognaise, but with frying steaks rather than mince - so much nicer😋

MissSueFlay · 23/01/2020 10:52

Earlier this week I did a beef & veg stew using tough-as-old-boots beef shin - it cooks that kind of meat beautifully & I did extra beef to use in a bolognese sauce in a week or so.

I also do chilli con carne, lamb shanks, ham hocks, Thai green curry...

There's a Facebook group called 'Slow Cooked Wonders' that is a bit bonkers but people put up some good recipes.

Sausage casserole, chicken thighs and curry are my favourites.

Wherearemyminions · 23/01/2020 11:00

This week I have batch cooked mushy peas for freezer and done a lentil bolognese and a chickpea and potato curry in mine.

gingerchaos · 23/01/2020 11:02

Bolognese

longtompot · 23/01/2020 11:37

@SchoolNightWine do you slice up the frying steak, or cook it whole?

SchoolNightWine · 23/01/2020 11:42

@longtompot
I fry it whole for a few seconds to seal it and then just add my sauce ingredients. The steak falls/shreds apart once cooked for a few hours and (I think) is a much nicer texture than mince.

Nomorelaundry · 23/01/2020 11:45

An if it's meal.

If it's in the fridge it goes in.

King prawns and all the veg we have with some veg stock.

youngestisapsycho · 23/01/2020 11:52

Today is chicken breasts with tin of tomatoes and mexican seasoning. On monday I did a chilli with casserole steak.

Nearlyadoctor · 23/01/2020 12:10

@Wherearemyminions would you mind posting your chickpea and potato curry recipe. TIA
