Where are you this evening?

I'm sitting in a hotel bar in Madrid with a glass of vino blanco. Here for a conference and a friend is joining me to see the sights at the weekend.

It's not sunny or warm and I think the conference will be quite boring but I've always wanted to visit so I'm excited. I love art galleries and Madrid's is brilliant for them plus of course a beautiful city and lovely Spanish food.

In Australia, sitting on a beach in Byron Bay, under a beach umbrella

At home on the sofa, cuddled up with an unfortunately very wide awake DC, and a furry creature snoring merrily, basking in the heat being emitted by the lap top - had to gently push a chin off the keys so I could type.

Just landed in NZ. Beautifuly warm but I'm almost delirious with exhaustion. Feel like I've been on an aeroplane forever.

Laptop not lap top Blush

In Chile, at a seaside resort up north.

Mexico with slight indigestion due to a late dinner

TwoZeroTwoZero · 23/01/2020 04:31

At home in a sleeping bag on the settee. Again. Can't sleep due to my husband's snoring. I feel like throttling him.

Thank you to everyone who replied last week. when i checked it looked like no one had responded. My conference was quite long and boring but Madrid was cool. I took in a lot of galleries and sites. My pal being there made a lot of difference to nightlife, bars and dining out - as someone who travels a lot alone its so lovely to enjoy it all the more.

This time a week later I'm in front of the TV drinking wine after taking my DS to MaccyD's and for a drive (a sure fire way to get an uncommunicative 17 yr old male to chat and share stuff). Better than any chat I've had for over 2 weeks.

Grisleyrisley I hope you are okay. That sounds so painful and sad. Enlist your friends and look after yourself. And Helini gallstones sufferer with tramadol I hear your pain. My gallbladder is being whipped out next week. I shall be so relieved. I can never go through my inflamed gall bladder again. According to the surgeon - in a few thousand years it will be as pointless as an appendix. They are on their way out. Well mine is!

@mogloveseggs Hoping that the ornamental pineapple plant I bought today will cure Dh's snoring please explain!

punknarwhal · 30/01/2020 04:22

In bed wondering why I have this habit of tapping my left foot quickly against the mattress when I can't sleep.

TwoZeroTwoZero · 30/01/2020 06:12

@Bloodybridget I think it's meant to do with oxygen in the room. A few people I know have tried it but it didn't work!

mogloveseggs · 30/01/2020 07:39

@Bloodybridget yes as @TwoZeroTwoZero says I read it in the paper and it's about oxygen. Didn't work but looks nice Grin

Bloodybridget · 30/01/2020 09:28

@TwoZeroTwoZero and @mogloveseggs ah, thanks! I was wondering if it could possibly be connected to the famous Stunt Pineapple!

Ikora · 30/01/2020 09:38

I’m late to this but on both the dates you posted I was at a ballroom dancing lesson with DH at a hall a short drive from our house. We then pick up dinner and cook together afterwards.

mogloveseggs · 30/01/2020 18:30

@Bloodybridget I'd forgotten all about the stunt pineapple! Grin

hibiscuswater · 30/01/2020 22:41

Listening to dd coughing and sneezing between complaining of muscles aches and a headache,

Bouledeneige · 30/01/2020 23:10

Next Wednesday I will be recovering from an operation with my lovely DD looking after me. I'm storing up ideas of Netflix etc to keep me entertained.

Great with the ballroom dancing! Love it.
