We’re not far from the city and visit regularly, but after going through a looooong difficult period myself and dh are taking some time for ourselves this weekend, plan to eat in china town as have wanted to for a while but wondered if anybody had any suggestions of anything else to do that I may not have thought of? As normally go with the kids, tend to walk once there as know our way around quite well but would love to have some kind of plan or thoughts on stuff to do! Not Ito museums or anything educational (🤦🏻‍♀️) so the usual suggestions of the Tate aren’t for us!!

Its Chinese new year this weekend... if you go on Sunday, you will catch the procession if you are there 9.30ish. Saturday in chinatown may be v busy.

Canary wharf still has winter lights up, v lovely and good for a mooch about to see the installations with stop offs for a drink/coffee at various places.
Portrait gallery closes shortly (emptying from may I believe) so nice for a wander before it shuts.
Nice walk round hyde park or similar and then dinner somewhere?

God sorry, me again!! Just seen no museums.. Greenwich is lovely to wander around. I love borough market, though helps if you are foodies (bread ahead for THE BEST doughnuts). Spitalfields for cool window (market) shopping before cocktails with a great view.

The House of MinaLima is fun if you’re into Harry Potter and/or Fantastic Beasts.
Sleight of Hand on the Strand is a good magic show, not far from Chinatown.
