Tutoring

Hello, I wanted ask whether parents are actually willing to hire teenage tutors?

I am 17 and doing my A levels(maths psychology and history) currently and I was thinking of trying to start tutoring maybe some KS2 (maths and English) or GCSE students (maths). In my GCSEs I got a 9(A), five 8s(A), three 7s(A) and one 6(B). I have experience with tutoring as I am currently tutoring students in my school in year 8 in maths as part of volunteering we have to do in school. I also did work experience in a primary school as well as having a younger brother of primary school age whom I help. I was thinking of charging around £10/hour.
I would be grateful for any responses and maybe some tips on how to find kids to tutor. Thank you.

My Dd tutored a yr 9 student for 2 years starting when she was 17. Lots of her friends did too. She charged £10 an hour. I'd say go for it.

Absolutely. The only people who know the curriculum well are teachers and pupils. You sound like you'd be a great tutor - go for it.
Facebook community pages for your area are a great way to advertise. After that, word of mouth works well.
Best of luck.
