Being stopped by police

Help me please!
I’ve never been pulled over for speeding but just went past a police speed check, I’d have been over the limit by a Bit (85kph in an 80 zone so stupid of me but not massive).
I wasn’t sure if the police tried to wave me over? Is it usually pretty obvious they are stopping you? One of the officers had her back to me, the chap was looking at me but I’m not sure if he gestured for me to pull over. I slowed down to about 60kph but didn’t pull over. After I passed them I had a moment and Thought I should have stopped - i looked in the rear view mirror and the chap was watching me but not doing anything else. No one shouted or waved or anything.
I had heard that you have a grace limit of 10% which I would have been under (my speedo also measures me slow compared to those flashing light things You see with ‘check your speed!’ On).

I don’t know what to do - or what the penalty is? Surely I wouldn’t be in any doubt if they wanted me to stop? Is it just my guilty conscience? I’m super super tired today and now I’m stressing massively.

As your talking about kph, I assume your not in the UK? What country? If so, I'm sure the penalties and 'grace' margin will be different from the UK

Was it a police car or officer on foot stopping you?as pp said are you in the UK?

can only speak for the UK but - as a policeman once told me - "If we want you to stop, you'd know about it."

On the basis that it's a criminal offence not to stop when [driving and] directed to do so by a police officer in uniform, the instruction to stop must be clear and unambiguous.

It would have been VERY obvious if they'd been waving you over to stop. They use one arm to point to where they want you to pull over, and the other is outstretched, waving around in huge circular movements (not quite sure how to describe it 😂) to flag you into the parking space. You'd know 🤷‍♀️

Certainly in the uk if they want you to stop it is very obvious.
