How much do your know about your grandparents' juvenile escapades? What was the worst thing?

My beloved grandmother, born 1910, borrowed the doctor's motorbike and rode it into a ditch; she was eight. Then she married the local horse dealer at 16. Your stories, family history?

My paternal grandparents got married in the house by the minister as Gran was eight months pregnant at 18. It rather ran in the family as she had been born three months into her parents' marriage and had an elder sibling with their mother's surname. Exactly the same with HER mother's birth too.

My parents only met because of a German-supporting sabateur in a US Dockyard. Dad's ship had to limp across the Atlantic and down the west coast of Africa to the nearest empty dry dock which was in Durban where Mum had been drafted by the RN. Apparently she saw off his then girlfriend.

Mum's family were far more middle class and respectable. The only real scandal was her youngest sister got involved with the black sheep son of a local farming family who got sent out to Canada to keep them apart. He later sneaked back and they got married in secret and only told their families when she was pregnant. She later left him but never divorced him.
