Would you change to better seats at the theatre?

Was at the theatre last night.

I had a fantastic view of the stage but a few had their view hindered by pillars and stage equipment.

The seats with the restricted view are cheaper.

There were some seats available with good views of the stage. Would you have gone and sat in those unrestricted view seats, after the interval?

I moved after the interval of Wicked recently. We’d bought £30 TodayTix standby seats. But it was also partly due to some very rude people right behind us talking all the way through.

Yes, I have moved seats at the interval before. Dc and I went to see a show that had loads of empty seats further forward. There were people sat in front of us and the dc had a great view of their heads. We managed for the first half (as we didn’t want to disturb anyone by moving part way through a scene) and then at the interval moved to different seats. I can’t see the issue. I have also been a performer (not professionally, but amateur stuff) and id far rather see the audience at the front getting a good view than have them all sat near the back struggling to see.
