Chicken disaster

ConfessionsOfTeenageDramaQueen · 15/01/2020 19:55

Don't ask me why/how but I've accidentally put off chicken into a huge pot to boil for chicken soup. I've now realised my error and need to get rid of it (smells pretty bad) but have no idea how to dispose of it safely and am feeling paranoid about spreading germs around the kitchen.

Any advice?

(I'm sure this is a ridiculous query but I don't have much experience and have no one else to ask)

Also, to clarify - the pot is full of water. That's why I can't just tip it into the bin.

Double bag it and in the outside bin ?

I think I would put the liquid if just liquid down the loo and the carcass in the bin if I was in town. I'm rural though so would tip it outside in the field somewhere and bin the carcass.

Just pour the water down the sink and put the chicken in a bag and then outside bin.
Then clean the sink like normal. What are the hysterics for?

Carcass out into a bin bag of it's own, tie tightly and into the outside bin. Then tip the water into the outside drain and rinse away with clean water.

Thanks, loo is a good idea.

Lol at my hysteria coming across. Probably lack of sleep (sick toddler) plus decimated immune system due to chronic illness.

Thanks all.

Just drain down the sink through a sieve and bag and bin the solids. It's been boiled and I presume you're not going to be throwing it around.

Wash sink and sieve, job done.

Don't panic!
