Which running trainer for wide feet? Asics, Under Armour or something else?

I'm on a tight budget. I was looking on Sports Shoes and they have Asics and Under Armour running trainers for about £20 (70% discount). My current trainers are New Balance and I LOVE them. But the mesh on the top is torn. Annoying, as the rest of the shoe is still in perfect condition, even after 4 years.

So which running shoe is the best? Asics or Under Armour?

Thanks.

I used to run marathons and getting my gait measured, was a game changer.

ASICS every time

Wide footed overpronator here. I wear Brooks.

Thank you, everyone.

@RitmoRatmo - I'm a big standard pavement jogger. So looking for comfortable, lightweight, cushioned trainers with a wide toe box.

@BabbleBee - I've not been entirely oorn here. I've owned this pair of NB trainers for 4 years but I've only been jogging in them for a year. But I jog every day for 5km so I suppose I still am over the 500 miles limit.

I'll check which NB trainers I have when I go home.

So now I'm not sure whether to go for tried and trusted NB or Hoka One One, Saucony or Brooks?? Are these brands available in Sports Direct? Maybe I should try them on first.

I'm considering getting a gait analysis done. Thanks for recommending.

Hoka Wide are great. DH and DS have really wide/high feet and Hoka Cliftons are great for them. I'm just about to change from Bondis to Arahi as I could do with more support

I have ridiculously wide feet and these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had!

Absolutely try them on. Not every shoe suits every person. I’d recommend finding a good independent running shop near you and having gait analysis and seeing what they recommend.

I have pretty wide feet and wear Brooks running shoes. They're great.
