Vegan holiday welcome packs

Hi all,

Need help, what would you offer vegan guests in a welcome pack for their holiday rental? I already offer standard welcome packs and delux, but as I'm not vegan i wouldn't even know where to begin on this!!

Obviously water, orange juice, apple juice are ok, what food can i offer though? I'm completely stumped.

I've been looking online to make sure we're inclusive and some welcome packs are €180!!! We charge €30 for a normal welcome pack

Collision Perfect, i hadn't even thought about almond milk!

Almond butter?

Babycrackers · 14/01/2020 13:04

Oat milk is usually more popular because it's neutral tasting and doesn't split in coffee :-)

KnittingSister · 14/01/2020 13:06

What about a fruit basket, if anyone has particular needs they'll bring their own anyway.

NannyR · 14/01/2020 13:07

I'd go for a nut butter and some houmous to replace the ham and cheese, flora buttery is vegan or naturli spread to replace the butter, vegan biscuits aren't too tricky to find, check that the wine is vegan friendly, milk is a tricky one as not everyone likes the same plant milk - I hate almond milk, don't mind soya and love oat, others hate soya and love almond.

Replace the hame and cheese with a nice jam. Vegan non gelatine versions are available.

Murrfect · 14/01/2020 14:49

Rhythm 108 bars!

They are heaven! I prefer them to any other chocolate! Hazelnut praline!

Lordfrontpaw · 14/01/2020 14:51

Oatcakes and wine (check the label). That would do it for me!

Sizeofalentil · 14/01/2020 14:53

Long life soya milk
Tea / coffee
Bourbon biscuits or lotus biscuits
Violife cheese
Mixed nuts
Bread
Olive oil

Sizeofalentil · 14/01/2020 14:55

Oatley barista milk would be decadent and much appreciated (by me, I mean).

Aldi have loads of vegan treats in for veganuary right now if you're near one

bumblingbovine49 · 14/01/2020 14:58

I would just give oatcakes or some sort of vegan cracker and avoid bread altogether but second the hummus and nut butter instead of ham and cheese.

So Tea/Coffee/Juice/oatcakes or crackers/ hummus,/nut butter/sugar/wine (vegan one)/2 types of fruit/oat milk/vegan chocolate or biscuits as a treat

Almond milk production is disastrous for bees - please don’t buy it!

JoHarrison · 14/01/2020 15:27

I'd go for hummus and maybe some local jam instead of vegan cheese which is often synthetic yukky!
Oat milk is likely to be more acceptable than almond milk and it's catering for gluten free too.
A dairy-free butter alternative is easy enough to pick up.
Vegan wine is widely available.
A lot of bread and biscuits are naturally vegan - check the labels.

SheShriekedShrilly · 14/01/2020 15:33

Any type of non dairy milk (Oatly for preference) and something proteiny (nice hummus, or guacamole - Yarden ones are lovely) and some biscuits (most cheap ones are vegan, doesn’t need to be special freefrom ones).

flipperdoda · 14/01/2020 16:00

@JoHarrison unless the oat milk is made from gluten free oats it's actually worse for gluten free diets than almond milk! Speaking from a coeliac point of view though - I'm sure lots of gluten intolerant people would be fine with standard oat milk

furrytoebean · 14/01/2020 16:42

If you have a co op near you then they label their own brand wines if they are vegan. You can get a nice red for about £7
