What’s your annual salary and your biggest beauty splurge? How much did it cost? How old were you? One off or more frequently?

Can be clothes, make up, hair treatment, face treatment, cosmetic plastic surgery.

Kinda trying to justify to myself my spending isn’t too bad haha

No salary (sham). Get my hair cut and coloured every 3 months roughly (£110).
Just spent £130 on Charlotte Tilbury makeup - so not worth it (let’s hope DH doesn’t find out)

50k
Spend between 50 to 70 on my acrylic nails every 3 weeks
Not much else although I do like a loccitane shower gel

24k. Hair cut £40 every 3 years. £5 solid shampoo every 6 weeks or so.
Really not my bag.

I earn 16k. I pay a tenner a month to get my eyebrows waxed which I think is a bit of an extravagance but worth it as I am shit at doing them myself.

I earn 60k and spend very little. I'm mid 40s so my make up bag is mostly old favourites that I love, I replace those when needed (mostly Givenchy, MAC and Chanel). Don't have manicures, rarely get my hair cut. I think I look alright!

okiedokieme · 16/01/2020 07:39

I spend £30 every 3 weeks on my nails, not sure what I earn, not a huge amount, £18k ish but I get spousal maintenance so it's probably the equivalent of £40k

okiedokieme · 16/01/2020 07:40

Oh and £40 every 6 weeks waxing (not midwinter)

ButDoYouAvacado · 16/01/2020 07:45

£45ish k

£900 on laser hair removal. It's all gone and I love it!

TheHumansAreDefinitelyDead · 16/01/2020 07:45

I am on about 20k and my biggest clothing splurges have been a Hobbs leather jacket (£300), a Reiss wool coat(250), and 2 Brora cashmere jumpers (120 in the sale).

These items have been going strong for years, so should really buy more top quality stuff like that Grin

I had a boob job 20 years ago which was £4k and the most I've ever spent but has so far averaged out at £200 a year (still have them in) so that is value for money IMO. I had whole body laser hair removal for my 40th which was just under £2k (not value for money since it didn't work fully).

On a more regular basis my hair is £100 every 3 months, baby botox is £100 every 6 months. I do my own nails etc so that's really cheap and I don't use fancy products.

I earn a lot - over £200k and DH earns about the same.

My biggest splurge was a coat I bought in LK Bennett for £500 in 2002. I still wear it. I wasn't working at the time.
