Clares Law

I am concerned for a friend who is in a fairly new relationship.

I have looked online regarding Clares Law. Is this something I could do to check his history? Does anyone know how this works.

I have loaded a website up a couple of times and haven't got past the first page of entering my postcode.

If I did this would he find out that someone has checked up on him? I don't want to cause any issues for my friend but I am worried for her.

As far as I'm aware, she needs to do this for herself. What makes you so worried about her?

You could make the application on behalf of your friend. If it was decided that a discloser needed to be made, the discloser would be made direct to your friend. The new partner wouldn't be told that someone had applied.

You can apply but the information won't go to you. The best thing is to speak to your friend and get them to do it.

There are a few red flags from things she has said and his behaviour. Another mutual friend is also concerned. I think I might just speak to her and suggest she does it herself. I just don't know how to broach it with her but if I don't and something does happen I wouldn't forgive myself for not being honest.
