Feel so shit about myself

I want to lose some weight. I've been wanting to lose weight for around five years but hey here I am still the same!

I eat unhealthily. Too many takeaways, not enough fruit and veg, loads of beige foods and carbs every day. I feel like shite and bloated all the time yet cannot for the life of me stick to eating healthily.

I do no exercise. I sit at my desk for 10 hours a day. My back hurts, my fitness is crap. I feel like a 90 year old trapped in a 27 year olds body.

I have a young child and I'm so exhausted every single day I don't know how to make these changes to make myself feel better. I for obvious reasons don't have time for the gym.

I just want to feel good about myself and healthy more than anything. I want to be a good role model to my son.

Help me make some small changes and give me your tips please!!!

Sugar is addictive and just like cigarettes you get cravings and need will power, you have to muster up that will power and need to change your lifestyle more than you need to satisfy the next craving.
You have a reason your son, so let him be your motivation.

Hi,

I can understand why you're exhausted, you're working ten hours a day with a young child. Just getting the bare essentials done must sometimes feel like too much, forget about going to the gym!

One thing, I've been taking a probiotic, magnesium, and vitamin d supplements. It has made so much difference to my energy levels, and also, I think to my positivity of outlook.

Another thing, are you meal planning? At least that way, you only have to think about what you're going to have for tea once a week, then you just follow the plan! Have you a slow cooker?

If you're pulling in to get a takeout, could you pull into a supermarket instead, and get a cooked chook, and a salad?

I found taking some fruit to work - a bunch of bananas, a bag of satsumas, and a punnet of plums, really helped with the fruit intake. Plus a 1.5 litre of water on my desk. . .

And it's the depths of winter. It's dark when you leave, it's dark when you get home. You're knackered. Cut yourself some slack.

Don't know if any of that is helpful. But you're so not alone!

Do you like curries and stews?

I have an instant pot and before that I used to use a slow cooker. I set it up in the morning (takes about 5 minutes and I usually just use frozen Pre cut veg) and that I at I have a hot meal when I come in.
If I don't do that I get chips on the way home because I'm too tired to think about food.

It makes such a difference
