DTs are both autistic - one plays with a large number of toys, the other is still very resistant to any play that’s not physical / movement.
There’s one toy he will play with for much longer than anything else and it’s this

You put the cog on the pole and it spins down and makes a fun whirring noise, plus he loves the movement. Helps with his hand eye co ordination as he has to line them up to get it on the pole, but then he’s rewarded by the movement as they spin down.
Try as I might I can’t find anything with similar properties.
I’m just wondering if anything has anything with similar attributes? They’ve been playing with this for nearly a year and I’m desperate to find anything he enjoys as much.
Or just any really great cause and effect toys that might interest him really. We’ve had a year of portage and he’s doing much better than he was when he started (he couldn’t / wouldn’t play with this when we got it), but I’m still stuck for ideas of where to go next.
