What ways do you let your 9yo earn money

Dd is desperate to earn some money to buy a specific toy she wants. She has some money from bday and Christmas so needs to earn another £50. She gets £2 per week pocket money.

We don’t want to make it too easy for her but we would also like her to be able to afford it in a month or two. She is sorting out her old toys to sell on eBay/local forum. But I wondered what jobs or tasks or ways of earning money you let your 9yo do.

We will let her wash the car for a few pounds tomorrow. Anything else?

I should have said she is expected to tidy her room and help round the house for no money.

Are there any specific chores that she doesn't currently do that you could start teaching her to do for an increase in her pocket money?

I don’t want to increase pocket money so much as give her chance to earn extra as all my kids get same pocket money

Could she earn some money listening to younger (or less confident) siblings read or helping with their homework? We encourage our 10yo to listen to our 5yo read his Biff Chip and Kipper book because I honestly can't listen to them all again

We've done s board before with our kids, with a list of things to do to earn additional money.

Already expected if bedroom to be tidy and do basics ( dishwasher emptying etc)

I added in things such as gathering in all the unmatched socks and matching them ( we seem to have squillions), hoovering, tidying younger siblings rooms.., they have weeded bits of the garden, had additional £ for powering through some tricky books. Can they do some work for auntie/grandparents?

By helping with homework, I guess depends what it is. DD helps our DS do his writing practise by sitting next to him and reminding him of the little rhymes to write the letters correctly. Obviously doesn't work so well in all circumstances.

We have an extra jobs board. Things that I need/want done with an amount for them

They get basic pocket money and have basic chores as members of the house

They have chosen jobs (changed every 4 weeks) that they get 'extra' for. If they want the money they have to do the job for the full 4 weeks and they get paid at the end of it. They are all expected to have at least one job each.

There's then a board of other bits and pieces they can chose from on a one-off basis

Hoover out the car

Fill and empty the dishwasher

Hoover the house

Gardening

Window cleaning (inside)

Hang clothes on washing line/ take them down.

My DD will do all of this for money but my lazy DS won’t do any of it.
